For Residents

Your local government services, made easier.

A simpler way to reach the services your local government offers online. Where your LGU or barangay is taking part, you can find a service, submit your request, provide the requirements, follow where your transaction stands, and receive updates as it moves.

Four steps

How it works

Document and certificate requests move through the same four steps — so you know which one you are on.

  1. Step 1

    Find a service

Look through the services your LGU or barangay has made available online, and read the requirements before you begin.

  2. Step 2

    Submit

Fill in the form and attach the documents that service asks for. You are given a reference number for the transaction.

  3. Step 3

    Track

Where the service supports tracking, use that reference number to check where your request stands.

  4. Step 4

    Receive

Updates follow the request as it moves, along with instructions for claiming, paying, or finishing anything in person.

Availability varies

Services you can access

Each city, municipality and barangay decides which of its services to offer online and how each one is handled. Below is the kind of work NexBayan is designed to support — what you actually see depends on your own LGU or barangay.

Check your own LGU first

If a service is not listed by your city, municipality or barangay, it has not been put online yet — and you will need to follow their usual process for it. Nothing on this page means a particular office already offers a particular service.

  • Certificates and clearances

Barangay clearance, certificates of residency or indigency, and similar documents, where your barangay issues them through NexBayan.

  • Requirements for a small business

Requests tied to running a business in your area, such as a barangay clearance needed for a permit application, where your barangay issues that clearance through NexBayan.

  • Record and document requests

Requests for copies of records your LGU or barangay keeps, when that office has chosen to accept them online.

  • Complaints and reports

Raise a concern about your area — noise, safety, garbage, a service problem — where your barangay accepts them here. You are given a reference number to use when following up with the office.

Before you submit

What you may need

The office handling your request sets its own requirements, so read the service page for the exact list. Most requests ask for some version of these.

  • A valid ID

A government-issued ID, or whatever your office accepts as proof of identity. Some services ask you to present the original in person.

  • Proof that you live there

Something showing you belong to the barangay or city — a utility bill, a lease, or a record the office already holds for you.

  • The purpose of your request

Most certificates ask what the document is for. Say it plainly — the purpose is often printed on the document itself.

What happens next?

Starting online does not always finish the transaction. Depending on the service and the office, you may still need to visit in person, have your ID or documents verified at the counter, or pay a fee there. Requirements, fees and processing times are set by your LGU or barangay, not by NexBayan — so your request page is there to tell you plainly what is left to do, and where to do it.

Is your LGU or barangay interested in NexBayan?

NexBayan is built for local government offices rather than for residents directly. If you are from an LGU or barangay, we would be glad to walk you through it.
